All toilet paper is not created equal.

Fall break. Beautiful words, am I right? Sadly, those 12 hour nights and pound upon glorious pound of mom's cooking is over. Back to the real world for us college kids. That means Sudexo, homework, 7:30am classes, bi-polar showers, and of course, bad toilet paper. But before you get the idea that I'm totally bummed about being back at college, think about what was gained upon arriving back at Olivet: friends, perpetual sleepovers, community living, classes that we do enjoy (a.k.a. not gen-eds), and of course, the ability to run our own lives.

I think that while us college kids can complain a lot about how much they miss "real food", or how nice it was to sleep in for 18 hours at home, we really do genuinely enjoy being back on campus. It probably wouldn't matter if the food was worse (if that was possible), the rules were stricter, or if the professors assigned even more homework, there is just something about our relative freedom that makes us appreciate our experience at Olivet.

If you really think about it, we have a huge amount of freedom, and we can argue about how much more, or less we should be allowed to have, but in the end, we are on a great campus, surrounded by friends, potential friends, plenty of things to do, and even when the toilet paper doesn't quite match up to the quality we are used to at home, you have to admit, we've got it pretty good.
